For such a liquid, in these OXO cups, scraping a sticky liquid out with a spatula is difficult because of the "stepped" oval measuring ring provided for top viewing. That said, I don't measure syrup or honey all that often. I suppose if I were trying to use metric measurements all the time, I wouldn't like it so much. The ring shows cups on one side and fluid ounces on the other. Metric markings are only on the side. But I seldom have to measure anything using the metric system, since U.S. recipes provide liquid quantities in cups or fluid ounces.
