I like the design since there is no guess work in how full it is going to fill your cup. You fill your cup with the amount of water you want, pour it in the machine, and push the button. I use a 16oz cup and it fills it full. The reservoir is emptied every time you use it so no mold/bacteria problem either! **Q: Can it use k cups** A: No KCups. The manual says to use coffee pads They are small round “pads” that fit perfectly in the brewing holder. They are considerably lower priced than cake ups, plus not the waste of the plastic Kcup The pads can go into your yard waste. Just Search coffee pads and see all the choices. The thing I don’t like about this is that it splatters a bit. We eliminated that by using a tall travel mug, which also keeps thevcoffee hot and insulated. And then we pour whatever we want into a cup.
