Then I bought these 2-inch behemoths, and my life is officially divided into "Before Big Ice" and "After Big Ice". ​The "Cold" Hard Facts: ​The Size: These cubes are absolute units. They’re 2 inches of solid, freezing glory. Putting one in a glass of whiskey makes me feel like I’m sitting in a jazz club in the 1920s, even if I’m actually just drinking soda in my sweatpants. ​The "Easy Release" Magic: It’s silicone, so you don’t have to do that weird aggressive wrestling match with the plastic tray just to get one cube out. They just pop out like they’re ready for their close-up. ​The Lids: They come with lids!. This means my ice doesn’t taste like the leftover onion half I forgot in the back of the freezer. Plus, they are stackable, which satisfies my inner organization freak. ​The Longevity: These things melt so slowly that by the time you finish your drink, the ice cube is basically looking at you like, "Is that all you've got?". ​Final Verdict: ​If you want to upgrade your hydration game or impress your friends with cocktails that don't get watered down in thirty seconds, you need these.
