I primarily use the white light and red light settings. I assume the “light show” function is fun for kids but otherwise not something I use. A bit fiddly without the app - all commands are on the central (bottom) magnetic base where you can attach the carabiner. Magnetic base is great for sticking on random surfaces. I also 3D printed a portable stand for travel and it works well.
