The effect is momentous but very subtle. If you do the meditation twice a day for a few week or so, you may at first notice the effects in your abdomen and solar plexus - a relaxed feeling there. The meditation has cut the hypnotic ties between you and your mundane concerns and put you in much closer touch with something more profound. You may find that you are able to be enormously grateful to God in a very experiential, felt way. Or if you are an atheist or a Buddhist, you may find something analogous and equally profound but very hard to express. Afterwards, put the device on the shelf and return to it in later years if you find that you have gotten ground down and stressed out.There is no religious claptrap, New Age nonsense, metaphysical piffle, doctrine of any kind, or even talk of God at all in Be Still and Know. It is amazing to me that Roy discovered this; I don't know how he did it. The other three meditation tracks are mere bonus tracks and I haven't listened to them. The Be Still and Know meditation is the second track after the introduction to it and before the discussion of it (third track.)UPDATE: The additional meditation called Overcome Stress is also very good. It is a variation on Be Still and Know.
