We had the original firm,flexible,sturdy fire tablet case and when I returned it under its 2yr warranty I also returned the awesome case. I could swear that case saved the tablet from breaking on fall 1. So anyway I called amazon to request them to return the case I sent along with the tablet, instead they said to order a new one and they’ll refund me the price. I went ahead and searched for the case... couldn’t find the exact one but others came up as an option. We chose the blue (cat ears) like one. Received it within 24 hours later. (Thanks Amazon Prime!) opened it and put his new replaced fire tablet inside it with a snug fit. It doesn’t seem as think bulky rubber made material but a bit thinner. I hope that this will prevent and damage on falls. That is my only concern as of now. But we shall see. As you can see from photos it looks as those something really heavy was sitting on top of case, you see indents and markings only thing I see wrong with it as of now. I ordered the purple for my 4 yo who didnt have a cover for her HD Fire 8 (2017) tablet with a stand. Item arrived simply in a ziploc bag with a label, no instructions or other information. I really liked the color. It came with a black insert that needed to be removed before fitting a tablet inside. Fit was snug which insured security for me. Stand is easy for my daughter to open on her own. She likes the points and call it's her "cat case." Only complaint is that it appears to muffle the volume , even though there are holes near the speaker. With the tablet turned all the way up, it sounded like the volume was only half way-this may be a good thing to some.
