You can choose the type of brew you want or you can let the machine decide for you depending on how much ground coffee you add to the basket. It also offers options for scheduling which is nice, it feels like someone made a cup of coffee for you in the morning when you wake up. The carafe is stylish, pours nicely and keeps the coffee hot. It is easy to clean, which was one of my main complaints about my previous coffee maker (Breville with grinder incorporated). Also easy to lift and fill the water resevoir.
