Great for feeding Echo into a computer. - I have returned 2 or 3 other USB "line input" devices already because each one had problems with noise entering into the computer sound system. One time it was a white noise hissing sound, and 2 other times it was static coming in from other electronic devices in the room. I did some research and found out this is a common issue with USB "line input" devices because they do not have enough "shielding" on their cable (the USB cable that connects to the computer). I saw this device and the obvious quality of the cable shielding, and decided to give it a try (I did not want to install a sound card, too much trouble). Bingo! This device has the necessary shielding to prevent crackling and static from entering the system. Worth every penny. There was a hissing (white noise) sound on all but one "Sound Device" properties setting at high volumes. Turns out the DVD quality setting had the least amount of hiss and when the default level setting of 3 is maintained you cannot hear it at all. And believe me, the default level of 3 is exactly where you want the setting anyway. It is LOUD and very clean at that level. This is the best device I have found to feed by Echo and desertcart Unlimited music services into my computer for playback in my office. Review: low line out level - My on board sound card failed, I had a USB sound card (line out only & 14 years old), And a new internal card would no work. I bought this one and it has a poor line out, line in is still a question mark. Windows 11 sound adjust is what I base this on (0 to 100). All settings the same. On board card would be at 18 when it worked, 14 year old USB card would be at 22, The USBG-AUD2 CARD (THIS CARD) is 100 to get the same level of sound, using a sound meter. Nothing comes up on my computer (Windows 10) to tell me to configure this. It looks like Windows knows it's there as it recognizes a generic USB device, but no configuration instructions, printed or available on the web.
