With the onboard barometer and a pressurized airplane, the traffic altitude is distorted because it's sensing pressure altitude and not true or GPS altitude. I have figured out how to fix this yet. Also, when the fan is connected to the Fan Controller, it will take 10-15 seconds to spool up while the system boots up. Review: Works perfectly! (Also in Foreflight if the correct image is built) - I bought my first one back five months ago, it's 40 flt hrs later and I love it! Built a second one as a backup and it works perfectly. The problem with calculating density altitude is that the temperature in a Stratux case is dominated by the other electronics, especially the SDR boards. Even if that weren't the case, the cabin temperature can be quite a bit warmer (or cooler with A/C) than the outside air temperature. So measuring the temperature, or even humidity, with a BMP280 or BME280 in the typical Stratux installation would not give good results for a density altitude calculation. The sensors would have to be placed outside the aircraft for this purpose. **Q: Bought pre-built stratux from amazon and ahrs works with foreflight . now i built one , used this ahrs component and i have no synthetic on foreflight** A: Foreflight is, unfortunately, tied directly to Stratus and doesn't like competitors. As such, their code is tweaked in such a manner as to try and block this functionality. To get it back, simply search for Stratux Dangerzone in google and then download the appropriate Dangerzone update build from there. It is based off of the Stratux builds but found a way to get around Foreflights attempt to block AHRS. It'll be an update .SH file so you should be able to use the update function in the Stratux Settings page to upload it once downloaded. **Q: Will this work with a PI 3 b+?** A: It will work with any Raspberry Pi with 40 pin GPIO headers. The first one I received was non-functional. I reimaged the SD card on the Pi 3 and reloaded in, rebooted, no joy. No attitude data on the Stratux page in my browser or on the iPad running ForeFlight. Both showed the AHRS as being present and recognized, but absolutely no response to changes in roll/pitch no matter what I tried. Returned for a new one. I will update after I receive a good working module. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE I received a new module via UPS before the one I returned had even left my mailbox!
