Review: The best I've tried so far.... - I wear these for vein disease, and these are the best of the four brands I've tried so far. And that includes the $200 pair purchased through insurance. The socks feel thicker so they're less likely to run, and I wear them under regular cotton socks and have no problem fitting them into my shoes. I live in the desert and also have not noticed any difference in heat retention between these and other sheer brands. The open-toe design also means I get a a few extra wears out of 'em between washes because my "oversock" absorbs most perspiration. They also stay up and in place quite well, even after repeated washings. As for cleaning, they seem to do quite well in the gentle cycle of our washer and left to air dry. And as a guy, if someone were to somehow get a peek of my "undersocks," I'd rather them see a black garment than think I'm an incognito Rockette.
Review: Great socks especially after a total hip replacement - Recently I had a total hip replacement. Doctors' orders required me to ware compression stockings. The hospital stockings were OK, but I opted to purchase some additional stockings. The Doc Millers were a great choice. The fit is snug and tight as expected but yet comfortable. The upper thigh area has a large rubber elastic area designed to help prevent the stockings from sliding down. This rubber area is fairly wide area, so this also helps with the stockings not being overly too tight on the upper leg. I just bought a second pair to have available.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best I've tried so far....

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great socks especially after a total hip replacement
*by M***. on June 25, 2024*

Recently I had a total hip replacement. Doctors' orders required me to ware compression stockings. The hospital stockings were OK, but I opted to purchase some additional stockings. The Doc Millers were a great choice. The fit is snug and tight as expected but yet comfortable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but do not necessarily size up for calf
*by J***S on December 4, 2023*

Apparently I have fat calves or skinny thighs, but in any event I had to choose between getting a smaller size where the calf would (according to the size guide) be two inches too tight and the thigh just right; or a larger size where the calf would be right and the thigh too large. I went with the smaller size and do not regret it. No particular discomfort on the calf. If anything I would be interested to try an even smaller size since, while walking or just slowly over the course of the day, the thigh band slips down. The no-toe design works very well, had some concerns about circulation being cut off, but no problems. I did manage to put a "run" in one of them while pulling it on, but in retrospect I was pulling on it pretty hard. So I'd say that was more user error, but do be cautious not pulling on the fabric too hard. The only possible quality issue is that in the thigh-holder band I can see that these tiny rubber/latex threads are starting to break and poke out of the fabric. So far doesn't seem to have affected the fit. I've gotten rashes from elastic bands on bike shorts before, but nothing from these. Also I have noticed that, when wearing these on bike rides, the band seems to stick better to my bike shorts (it stays up/on) than to my skin, so just FWIW if you've got some sort of longer fabric undies like that you can put these over, it may help keep them up.
