They will be very good for what I want to store but I would not put really heavy things in these. They are metal but any heavy items would need to be well distributed in the unit. I am using for linens and rarely used items that don't need to be in a closet. It is smaller (less deep) than I pictured but certainly will fit under the bed. The wheels are plastic so they won't take a lot of wear and tear.
