It's used for everything from bolt action, level and M4 (and AR variants) as well as tools, including trimmer with various attachments and misc. "stuff" and in all kinds of weather, including rain.Early on someone took it out in the middle of the night for a little fun and came back without the straps that help hold down whatever is in the racks. They worked great and were easy 1 handed use. However, while I liked having them, nothing has come loose as long as you secure it deep in the "teeth".These are kept on a 4 wheeler that's stored under a shed-like thing so it's never kept inside and protected completly from the weather. The rubber is dirty and kind of funky but still works great.The only thing I'd recommend is to check and retighten each one every now and then. These have been fine since about the 2nd check and slight tightening as it aged.I've actually been considering getting a set of the doubles but I'm not sure it would be necessary. Either way, I keep landing on getting these, vs another brand because of our great experience with this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Superior to seemingly competitive products / same weakness *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2016* I was recently able to compare this to the Amazon " #1 Best seller in power sports gun racks" or whatever. I needed this mount along with those in order to secure everyone's gear in our Teryx. The ATV tech mount was both larger and more forgiving than the competitors, we used it to secure shovels and other items as well as firearms. The competitors rack was more rigid transferring much more shock into whatever it was securing. Also the competitors rack was loosing "fingers and nubs" after a weeks use. ATV tech suffered none of that and easily everyone first choice for their rifle. Another great feature is the wide base of the ATV tech product, it allows many more potential mounting locations particularly in UTV or SXS with their larger diameter ROPS. It does not allow for a lot of angles but we had one of these also mounted nearly horizontally and due to its superior cushioning we were not concerned about it shaking up rifles and loosing PoA. If I need more or when the "other guys" dual mount I have finally breaks (I'm guessing this fall sometime from the looks of the wear and tear already!) I will replace it with the slightly most costly but vastly superior ATV tech brand.Buy replacement bungees because all the rubber ones fail within 1 year. Bungees are at least inexpensive and multi-functional. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The ability to adjust for offset rack extenders is why *by F***K on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2018* They are all the same but this particular model is great for people who have black extenders that are not exactly straight. They are adjustable so if you have to put them on Rails that are not straight across they will work. I purchased a kolpin set first but could not line up.
