My entire Brita fills up in about 1 minute or less. I love the 'handles' at the top which make it easy to transport from sink to fridge when full. I did buy the higher-end filters. I live in an area where we have extremely hard water and the chlorine levels can be high enough that you can both taste and smell it. I have not had any issues with the Brita filter clearing up such hard, chlorinated water. The water tastes clear. In my opinion, it is better than bottled water taste-wise. I have been very impressed at how well the water is filtered. I also use the filtered water in tea kettles and such and do not get nearly as much hardwater residue. I have recommended this to others in my area as it is a an economical way to get very clean drinking water.
