Hope this helps. **Q: Is this pump strong enough to lift the water 5ft out of a sump and into the main saltwater tank?** A: Yes, I have used it to drain, fill both my fresh and salt tanks from the floor up to about 6ft and drain from the top of the tank to the floor for water changes. It is a very powerful and quick pump, many water oops when draining cause so fast.
