Anyone able to do it without undue difficulty? Thanks!** A: My family has done it, we do try and leave it together. 8 year old can do it now on her own. It was difficult at first but we like it. I'm not sure if the collar bones were put back on but oh well.. dont buy if you want something super simple! **Q: Can it stand without black base?** A: Yes, it can stand upright without the black base. **Q: Are any of the parts and pieces squishy (and therefore sticky and will get lint and fabric stuck to them immediately if dropped)?** A: No, none of the parts and pieces are squishy, but they do not fit together in an easy fashion. I consider this model of the human torso to be a complete waste of money. There are many other, far better models, you can choose from. Directions were a little difficult to follow, and pieces were hard to put together and keep together. We never got the femurs into place properly.
