I skate backwards and am really dancing on these things so that may have contributed to the wear and tear. I bought these new this time around and will let you know how long they last. I hope they last longer than 6 months. 25 weeks (I skate Wednesdays for 2 hours) X 5$ for rentals=125$ Purchased these for 155$.
