It did come with the conditioner lid slightly loose and had some oil residue on the bottle, but not much of the soap itself had spilled. I have now used these on myself, kids, and my husband has used it. With myself, I have very long thick hair. You don't need much of the shampoo. It foams just enough to rub in well. I do feel like it leaves my hair feeling clean and healthy. With my kids, one has very thin hair that I am trying to help grow healthier and thicker. The other has thick hair. Even after them using it once a few days ago, their hair is still shiny, healthy and moisturized looking, and what I would assume is the argan oil- the smell is still there.
