Fortunately you can plug the power into the light strip and the strip works. Albeit at full brightness so I know the lights work. I purchased a motion sensing light though. So it fails at what I bought it for. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice little kit, but couldn't handle the color of the light *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2017* Functionally, this little set is just right. I like the integral wall wart power supply - since I'm installing this under kitchen cabinets, I didn't want to have to mount a separate power supply to the cabinet frame. This mounts easily, and I like the flexibility that comes from the hand-wave sensor.The down-side is the color of the light from the LEDs themselves. I ordered the Warm White version, but compared to the look of main LED fixtures in my kitchen this looks like washed out light, especially when dimmed. I've ordered a reel of high CRI LED ribbon that I hope will do the trick to match the warm look of our kitchen. Bummer about the additional expense, but I didn't see anybody offering a high CRI kit this size. If you aren't fussy about color, this kit is great.
