On a king which is on a metal base... it lands about one inch from the ground all around. We love the extra room for both of us to burrito roll into for sleeping.Also, some people complained it actually isn’t quilted. In this case, that’s a plus! We have dogs, they have claws, one is big, they tears up quilt stitching all the time. So this was advantageous in our case.Lightweight works well too because we roll of our pretty handmade floor to floor quilt... so the dogs won’t ruin it... and have this one layered underneath for actual sleeping... with the dogs on top of course. LOLSince the dogs also slobber and wrestle on the bed, it becomes quite nasty... have washed 3-4 times already, following the specific drying directions and it has not unraveled or come apart at all.Anyway.
