They wanted to keep their legacy paging system which consisted of (2) bogen amplifiers. One Amplifier controlled the speakers on the warehouse (Shop) floor while the other Amplifier controlled the speakers within the office area. Since the Cisco Call Manager no longer had the FXS/FXO hand off to the amplifiers like the Meridian system did, the new setup needed a solution to duplicate the previous architecture. Bogen makes the Telephone Access Control Module - Bogen TAMB2 which interfaces with the Cisco Call Manager and the Legacy Amplifiers to either perform a Ground start/Loop or act as a Truck/Station port to perform the paging feature on the Call Manager. Depending on the Cisco Call Manager the customer might have to install an FXS card within the Cisco Hardware or do a Analog Gateway or ATA device. My client use a VG202XM Analog Gateway which has (2) RJ11 FXS ports on it. We came out the Gateways and connected directly to the TAMB2 units. Then from the TAMB units we made our connections back to the Amplifiers on the MIC/Tel inputs. All Bogen Products in my eyes are very easy to work with and very reliable. I've never had an issue with any of their equipment. This was a first time for me using the TAMB2 (Telephone Access Control Module), but it was almost a seamless integration with very little configuration.
