The description leads you to believe that it is easily powered via USB (mentions power banks and whatnot). Although it looks like a different/older model has a direct microUSB input, this one actually has a DC5.5x2.1 barrel input. It comes with a standard wall power brick (500ma at 5v) with permanently cabled plug. If you want to power it via USB, you need a USB->DC5.5x2.1 adapter or similar cable. So, back to amazon I go to buy the right cables with my project delayed. If only they included a power brick with usb out, and a usb-dc5.5 cable to power it...sigh. Knocked it from 5 stars to 2 for the misleading description. If I had known that it was just a normal DC barrel input at 5v, I definitely would have picked a slightly nicer switch with the same input.Other notes: Links come up on all ports. I didn't test switching throughput, but I assume it can do 100mbit. Only 4 of the contact pins in each port are actually there (pins 1,2,3,6), which is all that is needed for 100mbit. I assume this is done to cut costs or maybe to prevent an errant PoE device from frying the switch. There are no mounting slots on the bottom of the switch or antislip pads included.
