Most of customers can clean their printhead successfully under our guidance. 1.This printer ink head cleaner kit couldn’t solve all blockages. Such as (1)The printhead cleaner doesn’t work for badly clogged head and insoluble substances inside the nozzle (2)It doesn’t work for very old aged printhead since it may cause more clogging after cleaning. 2.Since you are not professional, there is a risk of damaging the printer when repairing it by yourself. If there is leakage or improper operation when injecting the fluid cleaner to the printhead, it will burn the circuit, even damage the printer completely. 3.After finish cleaning with this fluid, you need to run the “Nozzle Cleaning” program, which will need a lot of ink. If there is only a little ink left in the cartridge, please refill or change to a new ink cartridge. Steps 1 1. Print a nozzle check pattern to identify which colors need cleaning Steps 2 2. Select “Replace Ink Cartridge” and wait for the carriage unit to move to the location of the ink replacement. Remove ink cartridges and unplug the power cable directly, then move the carriage unit to the right side of the printer. Steps 3 3. Place blotting paper under printhead. Steps 4 4. Push the carriage unit to the middle of the printer. Let it be above of the paper. Steps 5 5. According to step 1, insert the silicone tube into the ink inklet of the color which needs to be cleaned, and push the handle slowly of the syringe to inject the cleaning liquid into the printhead. Steps 6 6. Leave the fluid inside for 1 hour to dissolve the blockage inside the print head. (Depending to how bad the clog is, wait time may need longer. You may need to repeat step 5 and step 6 to get the printhead fully cleaned.) Steps 7 7. Repeat step 5, inject 1 ml cleaning fluid to clean the printhead again. Steps 8 8. Clean up the residual cleaning fluid inside. Steps 9 9. Push the carriage unit back to the right side of the printer, remove the blotting paper. Steps 10 10. Power up the printer, and install the cartridges. Open the printer application on computer and click on “Maintenance” ->”Printhead Cleaning” to start the cleaning cycle. Steps 11 11. Print the “Printer Test Page” to confirm if the print head works well. Steps 12 12. If it still soesn’t work, you can try it again. Extend the waiting time in Step 6. If you still don’t see any effect after cleaning the print head 2 times, it is recommended to try again after one day. Attention After cleaning, if the clogging is more serious, maybe it's because the cleaning liquid hasn’t been totally discharged and still stays inside the print head. Please refer to the following steps 1. If you have the refill ink bottle for this printer, you can draw 4 ML ink with a syringe and inject it into the ink port of the print head, then install the cartridge and run the driver's "Print head cleaning" function 1 time. 2. If you do not have the refill ink bottle for this printer, you can use an empty syringe (do not need to draw anything)to connect with the ink port of the print head, repeatedly push and pull the plunger of the syringe to discharge the cleaning liquid. Then install the ink cartridge, and run the driver "print head cleaning" function 1 time. 3. If there is no improvement, you will need to wait 2 hours and try again to run the driver's "Print head cleaning" function 1 time. The above methods can be tried several times.

Review: Great product and works perfectly. - I bought this cleaning kit for my brothers MFC-J270w that I bought in 2009-2010 that ran out of ink years ago (prob 2011-2012) and we had no use for it really so I put it in the top of the closet. I got it out and put new ink cleaned it through machine etc no luck and was clogged up. So I bought this to give it a try before spending money on a new printer. Ran it through as instructions said and cleaned it real good! Still no luck on getting it to print. So I gave it one last shot and let it soak over night and then finished cleaning this morning. Low and behold the printer is alive again and working great! Definitely worth the time and money saved on buying a new printer. Don’t give up after doing it one or two times. If need be flush it and then let it soak over night and it will prob work depending on how long it’s been sitting or clogged. Only down side to this kit is the instructions doesn’t tell you how to piece it together so it’s a puzzle to get it together and working properly. That was the only issue I had with it.
Review: Just wish there was more for the price. Doing this right is not for your avg person. - Will only work if you do not leave your heads unused too long. Also I first heated the solution to about 130F Put the head in a bath of the solution at temperature, WITH ONLY 5 mL of PJ in a syringe for all 5 heads over- night, then in the morning, I pulled the solution BACK into the head through the nozzles, as to not try to force the dried ink inside the head, out through the microscopic printhead holes. I drew up about 2 mL back up into each of the preconnected syringes, drained what was in the syringe to the sink. refilled the try the head head was sitting in, and did the same one more time. This is the 1st time any head cleaning has worked for me. The first printout was perfect on EVERY nozzle. Still is printing PERFECT a couple months later. I devised my own method from common sense, and seeing where the dried up ink REALLY is in the printhead, by taking one apart myself. 1) If you don't DRAW BACK sucking clean fluid through the nozzles, well, thats your choice. 2) Leaving soaking in a tray you make or find at least 8 -12 hrs giving the solution time to soften the NOZZLE clogs. 3) ONLY USE DISTILLED, NOT FILTERED WATER TO RINSE HEADS, OR CHECK HEAD NOZZLESPAY PATTERNS AFTER CLEANING. But this includes sucking fluid up into the head nozzles, (pre-heated) and keeping warmed for as long as possible, like in a bath of hot water. THEN leave for at least 8 hours. This gives the nozzles clean fluid to sit in instead of forcing old hardened ink through the nozzles, insuring it won't work. Or you can follow the directions. But I think this is the best head cleaner out there.

A: I think it will work.  Does your ink cartridge lift out so you can access the print head to take the print head out?
Basically, the solution is squirted (the applicator has nozzle) onto the print head (after removing from printer) or you soak the print head for a few minutes and wipe carefully.  My printer printed beautifully after the first cleaning, then stopped printing.  I tried cleaning again with the left over solution to no avail.
