It arrived very quickly and there was nothing to assemble, so can use immediately. It really seems sturdy and has a good size- depending on how big the baby is and how fast it grows, this should last for the first few months. My basket had no defects whatsoever and I am generally very pleased with this purchase.The only slight downside is the bedding and mattress- nothing amazing or super high quality, but that is not what I bought this basket for- these can be switched to something better if necessary.
