I have used this shaver a couple of times - once by just applying water on my back before shaving and the second time while in the shower. This razor blade works best when your back is wet as there is less risk of nicks or cuts from dragging it on dry skin. In both cases, it shaved cleanly with no cuts at all - the first time around, I think I went over the same spot several times, resulting in a bit of razor burn in that spot. The second time around, I shaved a particular area just once or at the most twice and it was perfect. It shaves closer than the mangroomer (I have the older version and it is nearing the end of it's life after 10 years of use), and the reach is much better because of the longer handle. Am not sure how long each blade will last - the comments seem to indicate about 5 uses before one has to replace the blades. I'll probably go back and forth between this one and a new mangroomer only because the latter is faster to use.
