Depending on the amount of excess liquid let some air out from the sides to drain fluids. Then clean with warm soap and cloth. "Dial "anti-bacterial soap is recommended. Stay away from harsh cleaners. If you want to take outside and hose down that sounds like a plan as well :) or use the shower. The soap is the main concern to kill off any remaining bacteria.
