Review: I use them, and I am a returning customer - I took off one star each on Accuracy and Easy to read because I use them for Aquariums... I swear that I have reviewed these before and did this very same thing, but according to the powers that be I have not. So, big deal you use them on aquariums instead of brewing and whatever else it is they can do. (I didn't forget, I just never committed it to memory lol). Technically; it isn't that BIG of a deal using them on fish tanks. The issue arises when your fish "care" what temp their water is, especially when they need the accuracy to be within 1-2 degrees (at the extreme). The only CON I have yet to find regarding these thermometers is that they have a 4-degree variance to each new measured number. [71 - 75 - 79 - 82(not 4) - 86 - 90 °F] Keep in mind that this makes the °C variance only 2 degrees. Other than that they suffer from the same problem that every other thermometer like them suffers from... With any backlighting at all the temperatures become difficult to read. EASILY fixed of course... Turn on your light, or grab a flashlight, or smartphone, whatever you choose just so long as you make the light in front brighter than what's behind. So, as the title says, I use them. I am a repeat customer and I will continue to be for as long as the price is fair, and the therm is accurate. You expect to sacrifice minimal accuracy of course when you opt to use this type of thermometer over a mercury model, but I'd hate to live on the difference. Good quality item, and IMHO they offer us great customer service, That is rare these days.

**Q: If I stick this on a beaker to check the temp, will it continue working well for a long time even if I soap and wash the beaker after each use?**
A: Yes, it will last a long time with hand washing soap/water, as long as you don't run it through a very high temp wash machine or autoclave.

**Q: Want to confirm-- I can put this in an insulated mug for medications that need to be temperature controlled?**
A: Idk that it’s gonna to read a temp on the outside of an insulated mug. I don’t believe it would. You could always put it on the inside.

**Q: Can this be used on air conditioner refrigerant line?**
A: Theoretically. It does seem to bend enough.

**Q: Is it safe to expose to temperatures above or below range? Will it destroy them?**
A: Yes, as long as it is not excessively high, or low. I have exposed mine to 180F with no issues.
