Smith & Nephew ACTICOAT FLEX dressings feature a nanocrystalline silver coating that kills a broad sprectrum of bacteria in as little as 30 minutes. ACTICOAT Flex allows exudate to transfer through the dressing. ACTICOAT Flex 3 can be worn up to 3 days while ACTICOAT Flex 7 can be worn up to 7 days. Both can be cut to size.

**Q: if acticoat 3 is accidentally put on some surrounding can it be harmful?**
A: will not hurt but you can cut it to size of the area you want to cover. very good for healing wounds, etc.

**Q: Do you have to wet it with distilled water?**
A: No you do not have to wet it. Will drop silver if you do.

**Q: Which side goes on wound the black or silver color side?**
A: Either or just cut to wound size.

I hope this review will help others. My family uses this to dress cuts and scrapes for years. Once the dressing is prepared let it work at least 24-36 hours to see miraculous results. It is expensive BUT it gets the job done. I tried cheaper substitutes that did not give the same result ...... at all. Must have in a first aid kit.
