Ich habe mit dem Gerät meine beiden Autos (bei denen ich die Schäden kenne) gemessen und würde behaupten, dass es für mich privat und wahrscheinlich sogar für Händler/Werkstätten perfekt funktioniert. Meine Autos sind ein 2010er BMW und ein 2012er Daimler. Die Lackstärke an den unbehandelten Stellen war im Mittel ca. 140 µm beim Daimler und ca. 155 beim BMW. Dort wo ich weiß, dass es überlackiert wurde habe ich zwischen 200 und 300 µm gemessen, verteilt auf viele Messpunkte. Dort wo ich weiß, dass Karossieriereparaturen durchgeführt wurden habe ich zwischen 300 und 700 µm gemessen. Wohlgemerkt, dass ist nicht die Streuung des Messgerätes! Wenn man mehrmals an derselben Stelle misst, oder auf der mitgelieferten Kalibrierplatte kommt man auf ein Streuung von wenigen µm. Ich möchte mir für mein 2010er Auto demnächst einen Gebrauchten kaufen und bin der Meinung, dass ich damit auf jeden Fall Überlackierungen und Karosseriereparaturen erkenne. Für mich reicht das. Das war was ich wollte.Das Geräte mit Gummihülle und Trageriemen was die Messung automatisch nach dem Aufsetzen startet macht für mich einen durchdachten Eindruck. Es passt in die Hosentasche, man kann es auf Probefahrt mitnehmen kurz anhalten und die Karosserie checken. Die Kalibrierung kann man machen, muss man aber nicht. Ich habe sie nicht gemacht, da in der Bedienungsanleitung steht, dass für die meisten Anwendungsfälle (wie für mich) die Werkseinstellung ausreicht. Die Anleitung ist kurz, präzise und man weiß nach ein paar Minuten wie es funktionert.Noch zu meiner Kaufintention:Ich habe das Gerät gekauft, da bei mir ein Gebrauchtwagenkauf ansteht und ich ein unfallfreies Fahrzeug kaufen möchte. Ich habe 2012 einen 2 Jahre alten BMW bewusst als Unfallauto gekauft (Händler hatte es angegeben). Es wurde mir von mehreren Stellen bestätigt, dass die Reparatur sehr gut vorgenommen wurde. Dennoch rostete die Schweißnaht nach ca. 9-10 Jahren. Ich weiß gar nicht, ob das jedem bewusst ist, dass ein geschweißtes Fahrzeug nie wieder wie neu ist. Das gilt übrigens auch für Oldtimer, deswegen ist in der Szene der Begriff "ungeschweißt" ein Gütesiegel. Nur werden diese Autos üblicherweise nicht (mehr) bei Schnee und Salz bewegt oder stehen hauptsächlich in der Garage.
