The motor is more than powerful enough to cut concrete with the right blade quickly and without bogging down at all even when you're probably putting more pressure into the cut than you ought to out of impatience. This model is made in the USA, which is a plus. It's important to note that the guard it comes with is for Type 27 grinding wheels, you're supposed to get a Type 1 guard for cutting wheels. The guard it comes with doesn't stop you from successfully using a cutting blade, it works, but it's something to keep in mind - it's always better to be as safe as you can. The housing and everything seems sturdy enough, it doesn't feel cheap. It's nice that the handle can be put on either side depending on how you want to approach the cut with it. The guard adjusts easily, you can modify it to either one touch or two touch - it comes preset as a two touch adjustment which I personally prefer. The paddle switch on the bottom is in a good location which makes engaging and disengaging the tool easy and the accidental trigger lockout that prevents you from accidentally depressing it when you're just handling the tool works well and doesn't get in your way at all when you intend to start it, virtually transparent in regular use. The case the kit I bought came with is pretty nice, it holds the tool and the power cord easily enough that you're not cursing trying to cram everything back in after you're done and there is enough room in there to store a stack of wheels with the grinder. I don't see any way of changing the wheel without a tool.** A: I'm confused too. The 402W is supposed to have the quick-change wheel; the 402 doesn't, and is supposed to come with a wrench. The description here is fouled up. But I have a 402W, and the instruction manual doesn't mention it, or how to change things without a wrench. Hand tighten? seems like a leap of faith. **Q: where is this made?** A: According to the box, this tool is made in India and the accessories ars made in China **Q: does the grinder fit in the case with the handle still attached?** A: NO. Handle must be unscrewed, but off, the handle fits in the case also. Case is kept small and essential this way. Thumbs up on the case also. **Q: What kind of discs do i need to use with this? The kind witht the thread in them or jusg the disc you put on and tighten between 2 metal peices?** A: It uses the non-threaded discs, 4-1/2 inch diameter, with a 7/8 inch (arbor) center hole. You "clamp" the disc between two round pieces of metal (flanges). The tool (supplied) that you use to tighten the outer piece is unusual, it is an allen wrench that you put into a hex hole - one of 4 holes.
