Citrus and honey make a contribution. Then a soft move brings out some European oak and snatches of blackcurrant. Well balanced, mellow and soft as it moved into long finish.

Nose: Lots of zesty rich fruit on the nose. Thick Seville marmalade, bubbling on a hot stove with notes of toasted cereals.
Palate: Silky smooth and utterly supple. Gentle barley whispers sweet nothings to the/its honey. A little vanilla and malt with toasted cereal and sumptuous oak.
Finish: Long with mocchaccino and barley sweetness.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazingly interesting taste

This was one of the most interesting and best whiskeys I've ever tried. It is the bottom of the range for Glenrothes and I found it much better than other more pricier Glenrothes I've tried. I can't explain it in terms of flavor descriptors you find on tasting notes from whisky connoisseurs which hold no meaning to me, I just found it fantastic. Unfortunately not sold anymore.
### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bottles have mysterious No-angel share "evaporation"... ;-)

This whisky has a high rate of shall we say "evaporation", I watched a third of my bottle evaporate in front of my eyes at my brother's house Xmas eve. Obviously I didn't have that much myself - Obviously. I simply blame my younger brother entirely. Especially since his Christmas present was another bottle! (mysteriously remained unopened...) So I ordered another bottle to replace the half "evaporated" one and have buried it in a secret location.We discovered this a while back and have been fans ever since. With a dash of water, it starts off as a balanced almost sweet orange-peel, ginger, wood-ash and all-spice ceilidh on the palate rolling to a smooth more savoury sherry/oak toffee finish. Sublime liquid wizardry.

Got this on an amazon deal for £26. At that price it was worth the cost. A smooth, sweet malt with a slight alcohol burn aftertaste.
