The A5 size is perfect for putting in your bag. I like the look and texture of the 'pleather' cover- it looks real enough to be classy looking. The beige material inside the cover and the exterior material were just "heat-sealed" together, so I hope that holds up. :-/ I like the way the cut outs for the rings allows the book to lay flat, instead of that triangle slope that most binders have. I also like the way the cover opens and lies completely flat on the desk to write. Those are the 2 primary reasons I selected this particular book. The paper is an average weight, and very smooth. I tried all of my fountain pen inks on it, and they all wrote nicely, with no bleed thru. (Yay!) The only thing that bums me out (and removes a star) is the front and back covers both have funky impressions in them, I assume from being packed tightly for shipping from China, because that's where it says it was made. (sigh) I'm hoping the material will recover in time.
