Trying to staple something larger (8.5' x 11', for instance) would work, but you wouldn't be able to get a staple in the middle of the spine, just at each end (due to the short stapler arm).The "up to 20 pages" description is accurate, can't get much more than that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product with one flaw *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2019* Really like this product with one caveat - the staple receiver (lower track) sometimes doesn’t stay clipped into the upper track. I solved this by removing the staples and squeezing together, with finger pressure, the end of the lower track where the staples come out. The booklet was 13 pages of 11x17 with a cardstock cover and to be held with 2 staples, top and bottom. I tried it with the staples that came with it as soon as I opened the pkg. It works perfectly. Love the swivel head. Pages were already folded so it made lining them up to staple really easy. I will use a piece of tape on the base to denote where to place the top and bottom of the booklet so the position of the staple remains the same depth for uniformity.
