It does have a metal plate on the stand on the back that rotates, but it's just glued to a plastic piece you cannot see. Which would have been fine, but as soon as the case got just a little warm the glue melted enough for the phone to fall completely off the magnetic holder I had it on. It left the metal part on the magnet so I put it back together but be aware of that if you are going to buy this. The colors and design of the case are nice and even with the mental part coming off the stand still worked. The kickstand on the back is nice and sturdy, it holds the phone up both vertical and horizontal positions. Overall this is a nice case, it protects the phone and the screen.
