I don't know how it would be if you don't have contact lenses or the surgery because that's what it's really good for. **Q: Can it be used on hard contacts?** A: for soft and RGP lenses only **Q: Is this better then Blink contacts? which would you prefer between Blink contacts or Blink n clean?** A: These are not as thick when dropping as the Blink Contacts are, and feel more hydrating immediately afterward. They can leave this thick blur on contacts at least for the Acuve Astigmatism lens for at least 10 minutes the Blink Contacts doesn't do it as much as the Blink n Clean. I personally don't think Blink n Clean is better all the time because of the small excess of water that remains with the blink n clean (but I also wear eye make up so this may not bother you). In short, I don't prefer one over the other as someone who suffers from dry eyes and I have a bottle of each Blink Contacts and Blink n Clean so I would recommend both! You really can't go wrong in my opinion with either one just depending on your needs such as dry eyes. **Q: Can this be used on silicone lens?** A: I use continuous wear contacts which are much more fragile than the silicone variety. If it works for me, it should work for you a well! Another option might be CLERZ which has been effective for me as well. Good Luck! My eyes have always produced a lot of protein, which is why I switched to daily contacts. Lately my vision has been getting blurry later in the day, and I wondered if it could be protein despoits. Well I put a drop in and my vision got instantly better but a second drop made as if I had just put the contacts in that morning. As long as I don't wait too long, one drop is all it takes to clear my vision. The other benefit is that the drops keep my eyes moisturized longer than any other drops I have ever used.
