It could also be used as a side table or even as a TV tray. It folds flat, so it can be stored in a closet, against the wall, or under a bed or sofa when not in use. Laminate top is easy to wipe clean if you make a mess. Spring-loaded folding legs are sturdy. I found them fairly easy to fold and unfold.
