Oh, and he's fearless. Daily walks, training and playtime combined are not enough to put a dent in his energy level. Our household is more or less in chaos trying to manage his energy and create a calm, happy puppy. Our 6yo female AmStaff, who has the patience of a saint, is ready to pack her bags and split bc she's had enough. Out of sheer luck my husband stumbled upon the doggerjogger online. We We watched the videos, read the testimonials and said, "what the heck, let's give it a try. It arrived in the mail yesterday and we gave it a go today. OMG! What an awesome maiden ride hubby and puppy had! Did I mention he's a puller and if he she's another dog or human he will drag you to the ground to go visit them? Not in aggression but bc out of love...he loves everyone and every dog. Not so much love for squirrels and cats so when he sees those you're going down for sure. So back to the ride...we live in a hilly area but have one long street by our house that is straight and relatively flat. At the end of the street is a church and today is Sunday. Hubby and pup rode away and pup was "in the zone" within about 30 seconds. Off he trotted and my hubby did a few slow, wide 360s in both directions and pup turned with the bike like he'd been doing it his whole life. They rode down to the church where there were several people and kids outside. Pup got excited and tried to pull to go visit them. Hubby sped up a bit and gently swerved to create a bit of tension on the bungee and pup went back into the zone. It was beautiful. They rode up and down this street for about 15 minutes at a moderate to slow pace since our dog is still a puppy albeit a big one. His tongue was lolling and he was smiling. We took him home where he immediately drank water and threw himself on the floor. TIRED...mentally and physically. The doggerjogger is going to be our daily exerciser for our pup which should help with his training. Like Cesar Milan recommends, "exercise, discipline then affection." Oh, we also ordered the heavy duty break-away attachment but haven't used it yet. We used the standard d/j and it feels very secure.
