I would never roast a chicken without one of these great little stands. It's so easy to make a delicious dinner with it and the skin gets crispy all the way around and cooks beautifully. I put the chicken on the stand, brush it with melted butter and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano and always get a perfect chicken. (My husband said it's his favorite!)I previously had this type of product but it was getting rusty so I needed to replace it. I like this one much better because the previous one had a "dish" attached to the bottom to catch the juices, but it still needed to fit in a larger pan. With this one, I can remove the whole chicken to a cutting board (with the stand still inside the chicken & then easily remove the stand once it's on the cutting board) leaving all the juices & bits in the pan to use for gravy. With the previous one that has a dish attached to it, I would have to lift the chicken out of the larger pan with the stand and dish still stuck inside the chicken and then try to pour off the juices in the little pan while not burning myself and making a mess.
