Many claim theirs has this but they are really just a fake light show that moves to the beat. I read the reviews here, some very helpful, some not so much and took a chance on this EQ315. I've been putting this thing continually through it's paces now for the last 3 days and am frankly very impressed with it overall. 'Burning in' a new electrical component is something I typically do. I'm only using the RCA in/out connections, so I can't comment on the other connectivity available on the back panel. If you need more RCA connections you can simply use XLR to RCA adapters for inputs and outputs, that would include the adjustable Sub line XLR output on the rear. My takeaways: PROS: - Construction of the case and front panel/switches are quite good. It appears and feels well made. - The unit runs very cool with little noticeable heat generated. - It performs well as intended and expected. The curves I programed into the memory do a respectable job attenuating each band as desired. All 10 bands are set default flat from the factory. - The spectrum display is very fast and accurate to each band. Each individual LED in each band is controlled individually so the most detail can be controlled and observed. I like the 3 colors used which makes for a more interesting and informative display. The bottom blue LED for each band is useful for indicating (by flashing) which band is being currently tweaked. - The Bluetooth works quite well. I connected an iPod very easily and streamed music seamlessly. Note: the blue Bluetooth indicator LED blinks when connected to a source and the track control buttons on the front panel work nicely. It will show up as 'EQ31SUB' on your device. - The unit doesn't generate any discernable noise. - Being able to control each of the 31 bands is a plus compared to the usual 12 on most other EQs. - I'm not sure about the comment claiming it times out and shuts off automatically. Mine has been on for 3 days straight without issue. Perhaps this has been corrected. - The discrete Sub Bass output and controls are a nice touch and I plan to use it to feed one of my dedicated Subwoofer amps. CONS: - The instruction manual is just OK. Many misspellings, typos and poor grammar, but you get the idea. It also doesn't explain several features of the unit including Bluetooth and the Sub bass line output adjustments on the back. - It is NOT U1 rack size, it's face is taller at 2 1/16" or 52mm. Add a little for the feet if you are stacking like I am. - The power switch is on the rear. It would be better in many setups to be accessible on the front. Solution: I plugged it into a switched outlet on the back of my main Amp. - Yes, the RCA L&R inputs color coding are reversed. Should be red for Right. FULODE printed the correct channel (R / L) on the case. Interesting as I though this was an industry standard :-/ - Creating and saving your own EQ curves is a bit confusing at first, but it's somewhat intuitive. - You only have control (and display) of both R&L channels together so you can't tweak channels individually, however the R & L channels are still discrete. This would be a neat unit if you stacked R&L individually in the same component. This isn't an issue for me but could be for a purist. - The display is a bit bright when in a dimly lit room. A dimming adjustment for this would be a nice feature. - The case should have removeable rack mount brackets for those (like me) that do not use a rack setup. It does fit my cabinet as is, but I may cut the flanges down to fit and look better at a later date. Conclusion: As you can see, I certainly didn't need another EQ, but I'm very impressed with this unit for use in my home theater setup. The Pros definitely outweigh the Cons. Recommended for pro or casual PC/Entertainment systems. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent EQ with somewhat unusual functionality. *by W***D on April 14, 2025* Been using this for a while, and I have gotten used to whatever quirks there are. The sound of the EQ is fine, it's a basic thing to set up and I'm sure anyone looking into buying would know how to do that. So the basic inputs and outputs are easy to see in the images. One output that is handy to have is the sub out. There is also a Bluetooth connection but frankly I'm not sure of what use it is. The 2 issues I had with it is as far as I have been able to tell is that even though it is stereo, you can only control both channels simultaneously. At least I have not been able to change the EQ levels interdependently left and right. For the most part that is OK for the live setting I am using it for. But in other situations, that would be a bit of and issue. The second difficulty is that the LED's are way to bright. I wish manufactures would ALWAYS include a dim knob. The brightness is so bright I had to cover it with a piece of dark paper to get it to be acceptable it low light situations. You can save settings but its a bit strange to recall settings unless you write down what you had, or maybe take a photo of the EQ. So for some uses it is a decent EQ, as far as the way it sounds.
