Unfortunately due to an oversight by the programmers (which have long ceased trading so no chance of updates to fix) you cannot program a standard controller (I used a PS2 controller with PC adapter initially). The majority of buttons will work but with my PS2 controller the start button did not work meaning you can't pause mid game to leave. A further problem is that if you use a controller that has this problem there is no keyboard button that can be used to pause the game. A number have complained about this.Plug in an XBOX 360 controller however which this game has native support for and your problem is solved! And if the commentary, which is admittedly not the best, gets on your nerves just turn it down! At this price on PC (less than £2 when purchased) and with the right controller you get a fun and challenging golf game.
