I got this box of K'Nex for my 6 year old nephew because he enjoys creating things with standard Legos and because I remember K'Nex being fairly easy to use, BUT my nephew didn't take to these. When I tried building something with them, I found that it irritated my fingers and it wasn't as easy as I remembered. These K'Nex are somewhat different from what I used 15 years ago: I remember being able to make a vehicle much quicker (with these, you need to put some sort of end caps on the sticks or the tires slide off). Also, this building set comes with "mini" K'Nex which are difficult even for adults to pry apart after they're connected. **Q: made where??** A: Hi there, 90% of K'NEX parts are made in the USA at our factory in Pennsylvania.
