It doesn’t take up much space gives off plenty of light or just right depending on the setting you use. It is powered with a USB port not a big deal we had usb power adapters laying around. It has a rechargeable battery not sure how long but came in handy when the schools power went out. My daughter thinks it’s cute and simple.
