The apple magic keyboard is missing this one and the iPad will be exposed to scratching if you want to move without the keyboard. **Q: Can you use this keyboard with another case or without the case at all does it connect to the ipad or to the case?** A: The iPad gets inserted into the case like a phone case, and to use the keyboard with it you need to connect it to the keyboard. On the side of the iPad there are three little dots that connect with the keyboard. You can use the iPad without the keyboard by leaving it unconnected but to use the keyboard it needs to be connected.
