It is not very soft when worked up, although I suspect this is the wool content rather than anything the manufacturer has done. The balls are also small so make sure you look at the weight needed. I am undecided if it is value for money. I will have to wait until I have finished to judge. I can only work in short bursts with it as it does feel quite rough.
