I wanted something that I could wear that was different than my standard black and gray blazers. Not only did this pink lace number fit the bill, it’s feminine, flirty, and versatile enough for all kinds of occasions. Oh, and the soft mauve/pink color it’s pictured in is exactly what I needed.That’s why I was so let down when I opened it up. First, it was not mauve/pink like the product photos, at all. It’s much more of a rose gold and almost leans peach; I hate peach. Oh well, I tried it on. I should preface this by saying that I ordered the 3X based of the size charts (it’s the largest they have). I’m 5’8, 190, 42C, with very broad shoulders. I typically wear a size XL top and a size 12 bottom: major apple shape, here. So, I get this thing on, and I just laughed. I don’t know if any of you will be old enough to remember Chris Farley’s “Fat Guy in a Little Suit” schtick on Saturday Night Live, but that’s all that I could think of. This “3X” is about the American equivalent of a size 10/12. I could barely get it buttoned. It may have been better had I bothered putting on a good bra before trying it on, but I had on a sports bra with zero support (you can totally tell, too). The color, alone, for me was the deciding factor, though, and I’m returning it. The search continues. I hope this helps someone who is a bigger girl like me to make a decision if you’re wondering if these confusing sizes will work for you. Yes, it does pull a little across the chest when buttoned but it does not feel tight.
