The minimum height of 18" is a bit too high for me (5'8") because with a 25 lbs accordion pressing on my left thigh, I need both feet firmly on the ground. I remove a clamp on the post to lower the seat to 17", just perfect.The throne does not come with assembly instructions. I don't know whether because I buy it "open box, like new."
