I was a tad worried to be honest, as I had originally ordered and received a much cheaper case, by a brand I'd used before, which was purportedly designed for 2024 Matcha Model, but which, turned out to be too big. I was wary of buying the OEM case, to be honest, as I bought one for my most recent Kindle, the 10th Gen Model and ended up swapping it, as I found it too bulky, to heavy and awkward to hold. So, when this one arrived (bless the desertcart Driver, for working in the terrible weather, Storm Bert, this weekend) I was concerned that: a) like the other case, it might not fit. b) it might be like the one I bought a few years back and ended up returning. I needn't have worried. It fits the device perfectly, offering a decent level of protection. The magnets to hold it shut are nice and secure, both for when the Kindle is closed and for when it's folded back, which it does beautifully and I can attest that it's nice and light and very comfortable to hold. Yes, it is pricey, but I would say, thus far, that it's worth the extra money I've forked out for peace of mind. I've always had black cases in the past, so whether this one will be as easy to keep clean, remains to be seen. It looks good, it is well made and it fits like a glove. It has a plastic back and a lid which switches the Kindle off. The front and back of the cover are covered in fabric which have a nice tactile feel when reading, and helps make it easy to hold. There is also a Kindle logo on the outside bottom left of the lid. The inside of the top cover is a softer felt type material, with the Amazon smile of the bottom right. I have used it for over a month now, and I have no complaints. It does a good job, and I think it complements the Kindle very well, so I have given it five stars.
