Banish moss and grow a lush lawn with the help of Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action for Moss Control. This 3-in-1 lawn care product kills moss, feeds grass for a healthier, greener lawn, and thickens grass to help protect against future problems. Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action for Moss Control is for use on most grass types. Apply during winter or spring when moss is actively growing. It is best applied when the lawn is moist and tall grass has been mowed to expose low growing moss. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 5 for the regular rate or 5 ¾ for the heavy rate. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 8 for the regular rate or 8 ½ for the heavy rate. For Scotts® Wizz, use a setting of 5 for the regular rate or 5 ½ for the heavy rate. Grass blades may temporarily turn black after application; however, this condition will disappear after mowing. Always wait 6 to 8 weeks between applications. Review: It Actually Works - This stuff actually works. I have a shaded backyard and lots of moss mixed in with sparse grass and after applying this and waiting a week, the moss turned black and the existing grass greened up. Once the moss turns black it may be best to rake it up to the extent possible and then top-dress and re-seed as appropriate. In summary, this actually works and will kill moss and green your lawn at the same time, but you will probably want to rake up the dead moss, which takes a bit of effort, but the fertilizer will do its part.

This stuff actually works. I have a shaded backyard and lots of moss mixed in with sparse grass and after applying this and waiting a week, the moss turned black and the existing grass greened up. Once the moss turns black it may be best to rake it up to the extent possible and then top-dress and re-seed as appropriate. In summary, this actually works and will kill moss and green your lawn at the same time, but you will probably want to rake up the dead moss, which takes a bit of effort, but the fertilizer will do its part.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked for me

This worked well for me, but my situation was not typical. I had an ongoing issue with moss, mostly because much of the yard was very shady. I had several large trees removed from the yard in late summer which allowed a great deal more light to reach the problem areas of the lawn. But in the early spring, the moss was still growing extremely well. My hope was that by reducing or eliminating the moss and then fertilizing the lawn, the (northern) grasses would be able to fill in the mossy patches to a large degree. My timing was very fortunate concerning rainfall, and a week after application, nearly all of the moss was yellow or brown. Two weeks after application, the grasses were growing extremely well and thickening up. Now, 6 weeks later, it looks like a different lawn, very thick and green, and with very little remaining moss. It may be that the increased sunlight I provided would have reduced much of the moss all by itself. I am quite certain that without removing the trees this product would still have a desirable effect on the moss; but I'm also quite certain that in deep shade, the moss would return. Establishing grass cultivars that are ideally suited to deep shade should be able to reduce that effect. I would use the product again without hesitation. It cost little more than plain fertilizer, and definitely hit the moss where it hurts. I did not rake, scarify, or otherwise attack the moss. I just left it to wither and thin naturally, which it did quickly (2-3 weeks). Delivery was super fast. I received it the second day after placing my order, using standard (free) shipping.
