I followed the directions and went on their blog for tips, but I couldn't get it out of my hair. It could have been my water, but I did install a shower filter. My hair wasn't even that chemical laiden to begin with as I don't dye it and was previously water only washing. It just wouldn't wash or brush out of my hair and made my hair heavy and sticky. I had to wear my hair up for the months I tried it.I am currently using it as a face mask. I was hospitalized for 2 months, on way too many antibiotics and drugs. I came home.on heart medications and a blood thinner and more antibiotics, weak and with yeast overgrowth on my scalp. So itchy and smelly. I tried everything, homeopathic and allopathic. The allopathic yeast drug hurt and really messed up my digestive system, with no relief. The homeopathic worked for a few hours or a day, but not to end this issue. I used organic apple cider, a no sweetener of any kind diet, I'm still on no sweeteners and no processed foods.. Finally I saw this on Amazon and thought, why not. Its a little weird to use after using foaming shampoos, BUT, I am finally seeing and feeling relief. The itch is subsiding. The stinky scalp is much less. My hair feels and looks wonderful, it is clean and has great volume, though I had to rewire my thinking to understand that just because my hair did not squeak when washed, did not mean it was not clean. I also had to teach myself how to use this shampoo, it seemed like I had to use a lot at first, but learned how to use warm water to help it spread through my hair without using 1/4 cup of the product. I had to learn not to use it like a foaming chemical based shampoo and not to over use it, and to rinse well. I have very long, just below mid-back, natural, normal to dry, silver hair. I'm 62. I have ordered the pine shale shampoo, to see if it will in combination with the apple cider shampoo, cure the beast. I am very pleased and finding relief with this product. AND, No one from this company contacted me, solicited me, or gave me any incentive, or free items, or reduced price to write my review. There is no nepotism, or friendship with owners or employees. It works for me. Will it work for you, who knows, we are all chemically, socially, and culturally different. I decided to take the risk, it's expensive for my disabled, retired budget.
