The examples you see in the photos are templates for your notebooks, for you to write on. There are no sounds, alerts, notifications, alarms, ads or anything else. There is no email, text, instant messaging, social media. This device is strictly for reading, writing, annotating, transcribing, whiteboarding, etc. Anything you can do on a dry erase board or a notebook, you can do with this, only you can fit (probably) millions of pages in it. You can have hundreds, maybe thousands of books on it, plus thousands of notes of your own. Sketches etc. But that's it.
