The fun part for me is its Olde English style that imparts that “everyday words of wisdom and hope from beyond” vibe. Since the lot of it is about mass, this Episcopalian prayer book rings familar even to a Catholic. It’s a good one to have, regardless of your denominational upbringing. You probably won’t pick this one up every day but it totally belongs on your bookshelf. This is also a fairly thick copy with an average font size so your current reading glasses should work well and it feels good on a lap. I have had this Book of Common Prayer for some time now and am just learning how to use it because of the class at church on devotions. The Pastor started off with teaching on the use of the Common Book of Prayer. I had no knowledge how to utilize this marvelous jewel, however, it is far easier than one would imagine. I am looking forward to using it much more often. This book is larger because it comes with The Psalter, or Psalms of David also. This makes it a larger size book. I prefer this because the text size is larger. I was able to see the beautiful leather bound BCP my Pastor has and envied it until I think of the very tiny print. I prefer to have something a little bigger so I can see the print and read it much more easily. This is still a pretty book and has all the necessary things included.
